Movie Review for: 10,000 B.C.
A nomadic hunter strikes out to save his tribe and find destiny has a plan larger than he could dream for himself.
10.000 B.C. Has a lot of down time between plot points. This deliberate change of pace compared to modern action movies is probably used to reflect the characters’ lives. Unfortunately, the mystery surrounding a lost civilization does not make up for the slow pace or subtitles. Unfortunately, the few and less than intense action sequences make the audience wonder if 10,000 B.C. should really be under the action category rather than drama.
If you like reading about Mayan, Aztec, or Egyptian civilizations 10,000 B.C. may be up you alley. But if sitting through a little more than an hour and a half of slow plot, one saber toothed tiger, and a lost civilization does not appeal to you, then save your money and skip 10,000 B.C.
